Yes, Skype is down at the moment and the site shows:

Looks like our server is down. This usually means that we’re doing maintenance work or there are too many visitors at skype.com and we cannot cope with the popularity. In any case — we’re already fixing it and everything should be back to normal in a few minutes.

Apple and the malware

In these days a malware called "Mac Defender"  is spreading in the mac world.
Now Apple admits that this software is a malware and provides an update to fix this mess.

Where is the problem? Mac Os X is not invincible against viruses & co. ?

My thoughts:
those who create vulnerabilities in the system is often the user*, as in this case.

Lol fact:
a website called "MacDefender" (http://www.macdefender.org) was flooded with emails because some users thought it was connected with the malware. It isn't.

This webpage is in no way related to the scareware "MAC Defender", "MAC Protector" or "MAC Security". So please stop sending mails. There is no website for this scareware and of course you can't contact the authors of this application.

I don't know if some of you have already seen the Win8 builds with unlocked features...
Until now, these features are found:

- Metro interface for some parts;

- Application store;
- Tablet support.


I hope that these feature will be added:
- virtual desktops;
- facial recognition with Kinect support.

OS Nostalgia #2: MS-Dos 7.1

Let's install Dos (7.1).
What do you need?

- Ms-Dos 7.1 (or lower) floppy images;
- a virtual machine manager installed in your pc;
- one minute.


1) Create a new VM with one floppy drive and put in this drive the first floppy image (disk01.img)
2) Create a hdd virtual drive, start the virtual machine and boot from floppy
3) Install DOS and when it asks the second floppy, change the floppy image via menu
4) Ok, Dos is installed!

I have 7.1, you can install on this Dos the OS Windows 3.1.
I found only this version of Dos, but a lower version is ok too.

A little big fix for Android

Android (like others OS) has bugs and in these days was discovered a bug that may put in danger the users accounts. [read]

An "server-side" update to fix this has been released and users don't have to do any action.
This is good, is impossible to update "client-side" all devices for many reasons.

Now Android is (more) safe.
