Tim Cook on Windows 8 RTM Enterprise

Ok, I had the time to install the Windows 8 RTM.
A bit "meh" for some elements in the GUI.
The borders in the GUI are too huge, thank you TinyWindowsBorder.exe (there is a registry tweak too).
In the Store there are the Development Tools, not bad, but this market needs more useful apps (yeah, for the classic shell too).

Goodbye Psygnosis

A piece of history goes away.
Sony decides to close ex-Psygnosis studio.

Do you remember its games?

Moar info: http://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Psygnosis

Bullets and shells, a little treasure

I found these from WWI and WWII (Yes, the musket ball is of an earlier period):

I recognized (model, weapon, year, etc...) about 60% of the objects in the picture.
A little piece of history condensed in metal.

Metro Luna, a Xp Metro style for your Windows

It's a strange and beautiful theme that combine the old Xp theme (Luna) and the new "Modern UI" "Metro" style from Windows 8. Awesome.

Customize your Windows 8 (borders and colors)

In Windows 8 you can't set a size for the windows borders.
Microsoft are you mad?
But... Ahh, finally!
You can set the windows borders in Windows 8 via registry key, but with this tool is so easy!

AeroTuner (for tuning your UI colors):

Tiny Windows Borders (see picture above):

PS: I'm using the RC version, but I think that these tools work fine in the RTM too. Try them.

Age of Empires III: problem installing War Chiefs

I can't install the War Chiefs expansion pack because the "Age of Empires III was not installed for All Users or the current user. Please log in with the correct account. This setup will exit." error always pops up and I have Windows 7.

So there is a solution:

in this path:

C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs

create some new directories:

C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Microsoft Games\Age of Empires III

ProgramData is a invisible directory, write the address in the address bar, then create Microsoft Games directory, then create another directory inside called Age of Empires III.

Install War Chiefs and et-voilà!!

Today ~2000  users on ESO!! Let's play!!

CD/DVD cover with A4

Now we have the usb keys, but a few years ago we used the CD/DVD more often.
And I never had a case at hand.

A good piece of A4 paper and the problem is solved!

ES Online (Age Of Empires 3 servers) are still online

The servers of Age Of Empires 3 are still online!
I re-install my copy of Age Of Empires 3 and the expansions (War Chiefs + Asian Dynasties).

AoE3 is the best chapter of the AoE saga. Imho.

The X-Files gaming

I remember the first X-Files game for Playstation 1...

and I remember that the memory card was corrupted (fuc*) when I was in the second disk.
Disappointed and frustrated I played it no more.

For the Playstation 2 there is The X-Files: Resist or Serve

Some screens...

X-files intro

My Ps2 is gone, so... I'm playing on emulator, but is slow as shit: fault of my computer (damned single-core).
I must find a way to play it decently... I like too much X-Files series and this game looks promising.
