Expand a short URL

This is a useful website for checking the final destination of a short URL like http://bit.ly/dzndHk.

If you wanna know the true address of this short link you should visit the link or use this website:

http://knowurl.com/

There are a Chrome Extension and a mobile app for this purpose.

My old trick to show where a short url redirects is to open it in a new notepad file.
Notepad> File > Open > insert URL and OK... the result is the HTML source code of the destination page.

What the font is this?

If you need to know what font is used in a text/image you should visit this site:

http://new.myfonts.com/WhatTheFont/

You can upload an image o simply type the image URL (if the image is hosted somewhere).

Let's try:

1) I wanna know what is the font I've used in this image, so I copy-paste the URL in the textbox.
2) click continue
3) the page ask if the recognized text is correct, check (and fill with correct letter) and continue...

Says "Helvetica Rounded Bold", but the "C" letter is a bit more closed....

Uhm... another try with... Comic Sans

Found!

Very usefull!

Design your room

This is a very good tool for design rooms.
You can add walls, windows, doors and other models and you can add your models too (created with other software).
You can export the room in the .obj format or in a render.

A mac pub. With a poster of uncle Steve.

This is my first try, a geek/nerd basement:

You can download this tool in the official site:

Gboost: boost your pc for gaming

Sometimes our pc needs a little boost to play some (new) games.
We can't increase pc performances, but we can free some work to the cpu killing useless tasks, freeing memory and doing other operations.

After clicked the Boost button we can Restore the pc in the previous condition.
Save your works before boosting!

You can set what do you want to close or not.
Leave default.

I'll try this tool with Dead Space that has a dancing framerate in my pc (and my graphic card is innocent!).
EDIT: Ok, with GBoost Dead Space earns a more stable framerate!
